KOCH at wire 2018: Experience innovative strength live
Future technologies, machine innovations and solutions for the digital networking of wire production – visitors to wire 2018 can experience this at Koch’s trade fair stand. This will be presented in a show that illustrates how KOCH’s ideas, concepts and expertise point towards the future.
Ernst Koch GmbH & Co. KG is driving the future of wire machine engineering with powerful and innovative strength. At wire 2018, the company will be showcasing this with a wide-ranging exhibition concept at Stand F22/H39 in Hall 10. The focus will be on machines for the manufacturing of concrete steel wire and industrial wire as well as solutions for the networking and interconnectivity of production technologies.
KOCH will be presenting three main components of a conti stretching line for hot-rolled reinforcing steel in a large diameter range. The focus is on a stretching unit and an S-roller gantry. The third element will be a vertical double spooler. It rewinds the ribbed reinforcing steel wires into compact coils of up to 8.5 tons. Particularly powerful: coil changing is fully automatic - including sample cutting, weighing and strapping with metal strap.
For the production of industrial wire, KOCH introduces a four block tuner roller-controlled straight-line drawing machine that offers numerous equipment options.
The ideal supplement to this is a vertical spooler with a spool take-up by counter bearing.
This module range is completed by components for wire pre-treatment from WiTechs, a subsidiary of KOCH.
A trade fair highlight and, at the same time, the perfect setting for this particular machinery group is a video show on a huge LED wall. Visitors will be able to watch a fascinating visual display of the application areas and technical features of KOCH products. The large variety of products, the high quality and the company’s strong service are specifically featured. It’s a show that rocks!
The digital linking of IT and production technologies – as promoted by the Industry 4.0 concept – is also picking up momentum. Once again, KOCH offers its customers pioneering solutions in this area.
Collecting data regarding quality, efficiency and maintenance already forms part of daily production processes. It is therefore possible, amongst other things, to signal maintenance intervals or to visualise the current operational status. Furthermore, modern algorithms also permit connection to the company’s resource planning system (ERP).
KOCH’s Managing Director Thomas Voss explains: “Through intelligent networking, the use of resources, equipment and energy can be optimised, thereby opening up cost-saving potentials. The aim is to use the production lines to their capacity and to increase the customer’s competitiveness in the market.”
Innovative strength, quality, customer proximity and service – these key features make KOCH internationally successful. The company, with its headquarters in Hemer-Ihmert, Germany, is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of wire drawing machines. Their portfolio includes single-block machines, multiple drawing systems through to cold rolling and stretching systems. As a supplier with high service orientation, KOCH plans, delivers and installs complete lines with all components necessary for the manufacturing of wire to customers in more than 60 countries. KOCH is also groundbreaking in terms of developing innovative processes for quality control and process optimisation.
